State: Work in progress– partial renovation

We’ve had the privilege of working with the Porsche brand in the past, but every Porsche is unique. Our renovations so far have been of iconic sports cars that are well known to the public. However, few people know that Porsche has also produced agricultural machinery in the past, specifically tractors. And so we recently found ourselves faced with a unique opportunity to work on the restoration of the Porsche Diesel Standard 218.

 This tractor is becoming an increasingly rare piece of classic agricultural machinery, and we’re thrilled to take on this challenge. Although it is in fully functional condition, it is impossible to overlook a few cosmetic flaws that take away from its original character. The previous owner has added a few extras and upgrades, not all of which are authentic to this model. The original paint has also changed, and the sheet metal parts of the tractor bear the marks of use over all the years that have passed.

 When the engine was completely disassembled, we discovered broken cylinder internals that have been in the bottom of the crankcase for quite some time. We are trying to bring new life to this piece of history and restore it to its original, pristine condition.
